Taylor Swift's record-setting Eras Tourwrapped up in late 2024, but she still can't stop making history and achieving new milestones.
Late last month,Swift made history when herAll Too Well (10 Minute Version) (Taylor’s Version) (From The Vault) surpassed one billion steams on Spotify - becoming the longest song to hit the mark. Just a few weeks earlier, she cleaned up at the iHeartRadio Music awards show when she took some awards for Artist of the Year, Pop Album of the Year for The Tortured Poets Department, Favorite Tour Tradition for her Eras Tour surprise songs - among many others.
And yet she still wasn't done. Earlier this week Official Chartsannounced Swift's Midnightsis the best-selling new vinyl release of the last 10 years.
"According to Official Charts Company data, Taylor Swift's 2022 LP Midnights - Taylor's 10th studio album, re-recordings aside - has shifted nearly 130,000 vinyl copies since its release in October 2022," the company said in a statement.
"In its first week on sale in the UK, Midnights opened with the biggest first-week sales of Taylor's career at the time, with 204,000 chart units (a record Taylor would break less than two years later). It topped the Official Albums Chart for five non-consecutive weeks, and spent seven non-consecutive weeks at Number 1 on the Official Vinyl Albums Chart too between 2022 and 2023."
Fans were rightly impressed.
"another one thank you," said one fan.
"I love it," said another.
"An album SELLER," offered a third.
Not only did Swift's Midnightstop the list, but her The Tortured Poets Departmentcame in at No. 2 and her 1989 (Taylor's Version)landed in the No. 4 spot giving her three of the top four selling new release vinyl albums.
She went on to place eight total albums on the best-selling list - eight of the top 40, with six in the top 25.
